Eric Harr Obituary

Eric S.B. "Sam" Harr, 38, of Iowa City, died unexpectedly, Sunday, October 14, 2012.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, October 19, 2012, at the Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City with a time of visitation Friday beginning at 9 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. Eric Samuel Blaine Harr was born March 16, 1974, in Iowa City; son of Robert and JoAnn (Brenneman) Harr. He graduated from City High with the class of 1992. He worked for several years doing construction and recently worked at River Products here in Iowa City. Sam was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and simply time outside. He also enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles and was a talented artist, especially when it came to drawing. Sam married Dionne Worrall, on July 3, 2009, here in Iowa City and loved the family she shared with him! Sam always held his family in the highest regard.
His family includes his wife, Dionne and her children; Miranda Edwards, Nathaniel, Dustin and Andrew Turner; parents, Robert and JoAnn Harr of Iowa City; siblings, Jason (Patty) Harr of Kalona and Nicole (Eddy) Ghumm of Riverside; step-grandchildren, Jacobie, Cameron and Hunter; dear cousins, Michelle Brenneman and Jill Gingerich and nieces and nephews including, Lenox and Kelsi Harr and Brianna, Micaela and Greyson Ghumm.
Sam was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City is caring for Sam's family and his services.
