Michael Shoemaker Obituary
Michael J. Shoemaker passed into the arms of his loving Lord on May 24, 2014. Mike had a great strength that allowed him to be gentle, kind, amiable and caring. He loved as we all should love, openly, honestly and unreservedly. Mike touched the lives of many people in ways most of us will never know and for this, he will be greatly missed. Mike is survived by his best friend and Love, Kathy. He is also survived by his sisters, Brenda Plagg, Sharon Hughes, and Debbie Kobylarz; and brothers, David Shoemaker and Jerry Shoemaker; many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and many loving friends. Mike felt extremely blessed by his extended family: His "sons" Sean, Casey, and Colin White, and "grandsons", William White and Jaxson White, the light of Mike's life. Calling hours will be at First Congregational Church, at the corner of Front and Main St. Binghamton, Wednesday from 5-6PM with a religious service following at 6PM. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to your favorite charity.

To Mike's family I am sorry for your loss.I worked with Mike for many years. About ten years ago I had Casey and Colin on my football team and I enjoyed getting to visit with Mike when he came to watch them at practice or for games.I was glad to see with Kathy and the boys that he found the happiness he deserved.

Mike you truly were the brother that I never had. You were always there for me, Chris and the girls and we were so blessed to have you in our lives. You had so much love for my family and with your passing leaves a big void in our life. I have so many great memories that I will treasure forever and thank you for each one. I love you so much.
