Porter, Joseph Edward
Joseph E. Porter, 56, of Conklin, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016. Joseph was born October 30, 1959 in East Stroudsburg, PA. He was predeceased by his parents Eugene and Jean (Miller) Porter. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Martha (Cegelka) Porter and three beloved children, Jessica and her husband Adam Ciaccio, David Porter and his fiancée Chelsea Rozboril, and Juliana Porter and her boyfriend Bill Knickerbocker. He is also survived by his precious grandchildren Elena and Everett Ciaccio, and he was truly thrilled to hear that the future grandbaby Knickerbocker is on the way. Also surviving are his three brothers and sisters-in-law Gregg and Mariellen, Paul and Lori, and John and Natalia Porter and his sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Anthony Logan. Joe is also survived by his in-laws, Peter and Florence Cegelka and two brothers-in-law Robert and Laurie Cegelka and Francis Cegelka as well as many dear cousins, nieces and nephews.
Joe was born and raised in East Stroudsburg and graduated from East Stroudsburg University. He was a well-respected software engineer at Lockheed Martin in Owego. He formerly worked at Singer-Link as a software engineer.
Nothing was more important to Joe than his family. He could be counted on to solve anyone's problems, at work or at home. He would do anything to make someone smile. He was an avid Eagles fan and loved camping.

You will be missed by everyone at the Buffalo Head. Definitely will be missing the football discussions. RiP Joe, the only Eagles fan I knew. Thanks for taking all the ribbing about the Eagles. You were a good sport.

To Marty and your beautiful family,
Tom and I were shocked and saddened to read of Joe's passing. We have many fond memories of when you lived in the neighborhood and our kids were growing up, especially the summer we took the kids to the drive in every week. I will also never forget how Joe came over and got our first computer up and running- he was unbelievably gracious with his time, and very patient. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Marty, Jessie, David and Juliana,
My deepest sympathies at your loss!
Unbelievable the world would lose Joe at such a young age. May he watch over you and protect you.
Joe may you be enjoying the company of your Mother and Father and friends who have gone before you. Thank you for the fun and assistance you gave to the many who knew you and asked for your help.
