Ciza, Edward E.
Johnson City: Edward E. Ciza, 88, of Johnson City, went to be with the Lord, on Monday January 20, 2014 at Wilson Memorial Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents: Walter & Mary Ciza; two brothers: Chet & Fred Ciza; one sister: Edna Chitka and an infant sister: Julia Ciza. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Irene Ciza, Johnson City; two sons and daughters in law: Edward & Melanie Ciza, Windsor and Kevin & Chris Ciza, Castle Creek; one daughter and son in law: Karol & Daniel Potts, Forest Lake, PA. Four grandchildren: Amanda Ciza, Ashley Ciza, Nicholas Ciza, and Sarah Ciza; several nieces and nephews. Ed was a former member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, now The Church of the Holy Trinity. He was a retired Endicott Johnson Corp. carpenter and a carpenter/millright with Local Carpenters Union 281. He served in the Maritime service for 4 years during WWII, then he served in the United States Army for a year and a half. He was an avid creek and lake fisherman at Lake Lorrain, PA, and in the 1950's he met his loving wife Irene while working at Endicott Johnson. Ed will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held at 9:00AM on Friday, January 24, 2014 at Laskowski Funeral Home, and at 9:30 AM at The Church of the Holy Trinity, 346 Prospect St. Binghamton where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4pm to 7pm.
