Windsor: George H. Slocum, 86, died Sat. evening Oct. 26, 2013 at Wilson Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Esther Slocum, Windsor, children and their families, Dawn & Stephen Gilbert, Vestal, Brian Slocum, Gulfport, FL, Lynn Leahy, St. Petersburg, FL, Douglas & Maureen Cirba, Annapolis, CA, Diana & Stan Isham, Windsor, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, a sister & brother-in-law, Ella Mae & Joseph Stone, Carbondale, PA and also several nieces and nephews. He was a member of Windsor United Methodist Church, retired employee of Vail Ballou Press, a member of the VFW in Great Bend, American Legion in Hallstead and was a Navy Veteran of WW II.
Memorial Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville on Wed. at 4 p.m. Rev. Douglas Clark, Pastor will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Wed. from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to service. On-line condolences may be made at: www.omaddenfh.com.
