Christopher Moran Obituary

Christopher John Moran

Endwell - Christopher John Moran passed away on April 22, 2021. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 7, 1937. He is the son of John Moran of West Haven, Connecticut, and Margery Jewett of Redwood, NY. Both were graduates of Columbia University. Chris is survived by Charlotte Moran, his wife of 43 years; his four children: John Moran, Elizabeth Rorie (Derek Rorie), Matthew Moran, and Jesse Moran (Jennifer Moran); and his beloved grandchildren Zachary, Olivia, and Julia Rorie, and Joshua and David Moran. He was predeceased by his sister Elizabeth Loweth, and his two precious granddaughters Amy Juanxiu Moran and Rachel Marie Rorie. Chris graduated from the University of Connecticut, and Harvard Law School, cum laude. He served in the US Army in the Judge Advocate General's Corp (JAG). Chris was a partner in the law firm of Hinman, Howard, and Kattell. Later he joined Singer Link and enjoyed traveling the world. Late in life he returned to HH&K as special counsel. Chris was a voracious reader. He was very athletic, an avid runner, and loved sports. He was a man of humility and integrity. Chris' defining characteristic was his deep love of his family. His children and his grandchildren were the absolute love of his life. His legacy was his gift of showing us all what love really means. The family will have a Celebration of Life gathering during the summer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, or another charity of your choice.
