From C.Y.O. basketball to Friday night happy hour to golf at Vestal Hills CC, we always had fun when we were around Tony. He was straight forward, blunt and funny - and that is why we all loved him.
Rest in peace my friend

To the Basti Family - so sorry for your loss. Just remembering the old days on Binghamton's south side and the years at Benjamin Franklin when Tony and I had some good competitive sports days. Uncle Tony's was great for after work Friday nights in the 80s/90s. May the many great memories you have help you during this very difficult time.

There are no words that will ease your pain and sorrow. I have known Basti most of my lifetime and find it hard to believe that this has happened. We will all miss him and mourn him as a great friend, loyal and true. He, as they say , was bigger than life and his personality filled the room. He is now filling a room bigger than life with his personality and charm. May God ease your pain brother and sisters and We are truly sorry for your devastating loss.

Franny and Family,

What a guy! Just seeing his picture brings a smile to my face as I remember countless good times (golfing, partying, etc.) with my "Uncle Tony!" He was a generous, selfless man and, even though it's been some time since I've seen him, I've thought of him often. I will miss him; they "broke the mold!" May he rest in peace.

When Tony was your friend, you knew it. I am proud to be one of the many, many people who was the recipient of his love, compassion, and loyalty and friendship. As well, I was priviledged to witness first hand the many years of love and care for his Frannie. He cast a long shadow and will be missed but never, ever forgotten.
Heaven just got a lot more fun... you and Pop have a drink on me
