Conklin - Our beloved mother and grandmother, Betty J. Cooper, 95, passed away January 9, 2019. Betty's life revolved around her family. She was married to her devoted husband Lee for 73 years. Her children remember her as a loving and doting mother, who was always there to support and guide them to become the adults they grew up to be. Betty enjoyed cooking for her family, crossword puzzles and and most of all traveling and camping. She was a longtime member of Little White Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Lee; sons, James Cooper and Joseph Cooper; grandson, Lee Cooper and great grandchildren, Joshua Bailey, Sidney Shaheen and Kristopher Bennett. Betty is survived by her children, Bonnie Chase, Chenango Forks, John F. and Carmelina Cooper, Frankfort, NY, Lori Ford, Binghamton and Lee T. and Mindy Cooper, Conklin, treasured grandchildren; Gerald Bennett, Scott Bennett, Kenneth Bennett, Michelle Cooper, Kathy Cooper, Michael Cooper, Chad Cooper, Bobby Cooper, Johnny Cooper, Nicolle Ford, Matthew Ford, Joseph Lee Cooper, Vincent Cooper and Dominic Cooper and many great grandchildren. She leaves behind her much loved niece, Cheryl. Betty's family would like to express their gratitude to the caring and loving staff of the Absolut Nursing Home, especially Val "Mama", Crystal, BJ, Jim, Barb and Ali.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with the Reverend Dr. Steve Chastain officiating. Interment will follow services in Chenango Valley Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of services.
