Irene R. Jacobs 93, of Binghamton, joined her husband on September 1, 2016. She was predeceased by her husband George Jacobs; sister Mary (Augustine) Paccio; brother Tony (Stephie) Tollack; nephews Carl Paccio and John Jacobs; as well as several sister and brother in-laws. She is survived by her children Kathleen (Larry) Maisel, James Jacobs, Lorraine (Robert) Hertzog; grandchildren Jeremy Jacobs, Christopher Jacobs, Jennifer Grillo, Carrie (Slade) Chelbian, Scott Hertzog, Ryan Hertzog; two great-grandchildren Rylee and Kelton Chelbian; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She retired from Singer-Link, and was a lifelong member of St. Cyril's Church in Binghamton. She was an avid shopper and returner. She was known as grandma Coo-Coo because of her Cuckoo clocks. She will be dearly missed by all. The family wishes to thank all of the staff at Willow Point Nursing Home for their loving care. Visitation will be held on Saturday September 3, 2016 from 9 until 10am at St. Cyril's and Methodius Church in Binghamton. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Irene's name to Our Lady of the Snows 442 S. Demazenod Dr. Belleville IL, 62223. Arrangements are with Albert J. DeMarco at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home Inc.
