James J. DeNucci
of Hillcrest
formerly of Dunmore, Pa.
James J. DeNucci, of Hillcrest, formerly of Dunmore, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2005, after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his two brothers and one sister, Frank DeNucci Sr., Phil DeNucci, and Carmella Lush. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lorraine; two sons and a daughter-in-law, James J. DeNucci Jr., Mark and Debbie DeNucci; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl L. (DeNucci) and Matthias Heizmann, Poughkeepsie; two grandchildren, Kristyn and Jamie DeNucci; brothers and sister-in-law, Ralph and Jill DeNucci, Sal DeNucci; sisters, Isabel Gahwiler, Josephine Coluccio, Angela Butler, Lucy DeNucci, Joan DeNucci; also numerous nieces, nephews, and many close friends. Jim proudly served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the American Legion Post #1194. He attended electrical engineering school. He retired from Link Aviation and enjoyed traveling extensively throughout his 36 years of service. His greatest joy was using many skills to help family and friends at any time.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 21, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Hillcrest, with Father Tim Taugher officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, N.Y., on Friday, May 20, 2005, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim's memory to the American Lung Association of Mid New York, 1249 Front Street, Suite 105, Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
