Kenneth Harf
of Binghamton
Ken Harf, 79, a gentle and loving man, died on November 30, 2005 at Wilson Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Julius and Emmy Harf; and his first wife, Joan Harf. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine (Gerry); his daughter, Leslie Harf (Larry Goldstein); son, Steven Harf; stepchildren, Sandy (Bill) Marca, Bob (Dina) Hartung, Nancy (Matt) Heitmann; the light of his life, grandson, Jason Goldstein; six step grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Ruth (Alan) Kapiloff, Sally Germano; and special nieces and their families. Ken was born in Berlin, Germany, and was a child of the Kindertransport. He served in the US Army during WWII. He graduated from NYU as an electrical engineer and retired from Singer Link. Ken was an active member of Temple Israel and his greatest joy was helping others.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Temple Israel, 4733 Deerfield Place, Vestal. The Rabbi Simeon Kolko will officiate. Burial will be in Temple Israel Cemetery, Conklin. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until the time of the service. Shiva will be observed Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 1-3 p.m. at 38 Front St., Apt. 4D, Binghamton.
