Rosalie D. Griffin
of Johnson CityRosalie D. Griffin, 64, of Johnson City, passed away at home suddenly, Tuesday morning, February 17, 2004. She was predeceased by her parents, Harold K. and Marion (Decker) DeLong. She is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, James Griffin, Johnson City; a daughter and son-in-law, Lori G. and Thomas Micha, Johnson City; two granddaughters, Jamie Lyn and Jessica Micha; a devoted brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Eleanore DeLong, Fort Myers, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Wynn Simon, Baltimore, Md.; a brother-in-law, Robert Saunders, Albany, N.Y.; also several nieces, nephews; and four special first cousins, Roland and Ethel Whalen, Johnson City, Janice and David Lutsic, Johnson City, Jack and JoAnn Decker, Stewart, Fla., David and Joyce Decker, Jensen Beach, Fla.; and a very special lifetime friend, Marge Wargo, Johnson City. She was a member of St. James Church, Johnson City, was a greeter, and also a Team Captain of the bereavement luncheons. The love of her life was her two granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held at the J. F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main Street, Johnson City, Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. at St. James Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to the St. James Church Memorial Fund, 155 Main Street, Johnson City, N.Y. 13790, in Rosalie D. Griffin's name.
