Teresa B. Russik
of Johnson City
Teresa B. Russik went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 12, 2005. She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Johanna Jandura; her son, James Russik; and her sister, Stephie Horvatt. She is survived by her loving daughter, Delores Bishop, Binghamton; her son, Ronald Russik, Redondo Beach, Calif.; five grandchildren, Jennifer Shaw, Jason and Wendy Dumas, of Binghamton, Mary Ellen Russik, Raymond Russik, of California, Ronald Russik, of Oklahoma; and several great-grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a devoted member of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament. She was a retired employee of Singer-Link Corp. and a member of the Jednota Alliance. Teresa loved gardening, cooking, baking and the Bill Flynn polka shows. The family would like to express sincere gratitude for the loving care given to Teresa by Dr. Arjun Patel and the fourth floor staff at Susquehanna Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. at Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc., 96 Glenwood Ave., Binghamton, and at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, where a Funeral Mass will be offered by the Rev. Donald Bourgeois. Burial will be in Slovak Catholic Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1406 Monroe St., Endicott, N.Y. 13760.
