Donald L. Truesdail, age 34, died unexpectedly as the result of an automobile accident on January 13, 2009 in San Diego, California. He was predeceased by his brother, Daniel Truesdail Jr.; and niece, Janelle Swindler; as well as his paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Truesdail; parents, Daniel and Janet Truesdail; sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Tim Swindler; nephew and niece, Corbin and Brooke Swindler; maternal grandmother, Mary Briggs; mother and father-in-law, Trevor and Gina Schneider; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Wendy, Stephen, Mary and Andy Schneider. Donald left behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, friends, and many, many wonderful students whom he adored. Donald was a music teacher, performer, instrumentalist, songwriter and musician.
A memorial service will be held for all of those who loved Don, at the Owego VFW upstairs banquet hall on Saturday, January 24th, from noon to four p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to your local music and arts department in his name.
