Binghamton: Josephine A. Hamm, 79, of Binghamton, passed away peacefully at Wilson Memorial Hospital on Sunday, July 20, 2014. She was predeceased by five sisters, Anna, Sophie, Mary, Helen, and Betty; also two brothers, Chester and Stanley. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Charles Hamm, Binghamton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Michele and Andy Munson, Binghamton, Laura and Kevin Murphy, Johnson City; one beloved granddaughter, Sarah Munson, Binghamton; two sisters, Rose Krissel, CO and Florence LaMont, PA; special sisters-in-law, Theresa, Marge, Beverly, Nancy, Dee, Lenore and Mirta; special brothers-in-law, Louie and Bill; also several nieces and nephews. Josephine was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Hillcrest, and was famous for her Polish cooking and baking. She crocheted many blankets for people she loved and took care of many children and elderly people in the neighborhood, especially her granddaughter, Sarah. She was a devoted wife, mother, and nana who will be greatly missed. She was always the life of the party. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Laskowski Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Ruda officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
