Lynn M. Baciuska, Sr., 67 of North Afton died unexpectedly on Wed. Dec. 28, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Synthia Baciuska, 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Lynn M. & Dawn Baciuska Jr., N. Afton, Jamie & Stacie Baciuska, N. Afton, Cody & Kristin Baciuska, Cobleskill, 7 grandchildren, Madison, Hunter, Blake, Elijah, Braydon, Keith & Collin, 2 sisters & brothers-in-law, Gloria & Curtis Harvey, Afton, Jeanetta & Gordon Feinstein, Endicott, mother-in-law, Winona Underwood, Rochester and the rest of the Shaw Family as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Lynn was a Contractor & Dairy Farm operator in the Afton area, former owner of the Afton Bake Shop and owner and operator of the N. Afton Deer Shop. A jack of all trades, Lynn helped countless people over the years with whatever needs they had. He was Superintendent of the N. Afton Cemetery, former Board member of the Afton Fair and a lifetime member of the NY State Trappers Association. Lynn's passions included harassing his wife (LOL), spending time with his grandchildren, playing slot machines, going out to dinner with friends/family, hunting, trapping, fishing, operating his bulldozer, and helping people out whenever and however he could. Lynn was always willing to lend a hand.
Funeral Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville on Sunday January 8th, 2017 at 2 p.m. Rev. Benjamin Shaw will officiate with the assistance of Maryann Palmetier and Dana Pooler. The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the NY State Trappers Association or the Venison Donation Coalition.
