Laskaris, Shannon

Maine: On December 19, 2014 our beloved Shannon was taken from her family and friends unexpectedly and inexplicably. There are no words to describe the loss we feel. Shannon was a loving and devoted mother to her sons. She joins her sister, Kelly, who passed away after a courageous battle with cancer only a week before, in God's loving embrace. Shannon was predeceased by her grandparents, Peter and Josie Laskaris, Mary Morlando, and Francis Howey. Sister, Kelly Pochily Zurenda, and niece Lilly. Her aunt, Georgia Ziccardi, Uncles Richard Gaskill and Ernest Giles and brother-in-law, Allen Dorak. Shannon leaves behind her two handsome young sons, Dameon and Dominic. Also, her loving parents, Van and Margie Laskaris and her mother, Margaret Wagner. Her brother and best friend, Jason Laskaris. Sisters JoEllen Dorak-Tarcha (Nick), Sharon Dattoria (Marcus) and brother-in-law David Zurenda. A special niece, Keelinn Laskaris and nieces and nephews Mary, Nicholas, Peyton, Zachary and Brooklynn. Many aunts, uncles and cousins, including special aunts Alexis Hitchcock (Judd), Pamela Gaskill, and special uncles Joseph Laskaris and Fran Ziccardi and many, many friends. She was a paper delivery person for the Binghamton Press. Shannon truly loved her entire family and relished our family gatherings where she could always be heard telling the mother of our newest additions, "give me that baby." Her beautiful smile will never be replaced and we will all miss her terribly. A Funeral service will be held on Friday at 3pm at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main St, Johnson City with Father Mark Giroux officiation. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12pm until the time of services.
