Shamberger Susan

Conklin - Susan L. Shamberger, 56, of Conklin, NY gained her Mickey Mouse ears and Angel wings on Thursday, January 25, 2018. Sue is predeceased by her mother and step-father Mary Lou & Richard McClenahan. She is survived by her sister, Kim Crawford (Tracie Conklin); father & step-mother Jack and Ann Shamberger; and the light of her life, her niece Jennifer Crawford. Sue is also survived by the Blakeney, Conklin and Carl families; many dear friends; Godsons: Daniel Scott and Cameron Black; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and the hundreds of Kindergarten children that blessed her life over thirty plus years of teaching in the Susquehanna Valley school district. Sue was a diehard Denver Broncos fan, loved everything Disney, all things Twilight, and spent every free moment reading (preferably by a pool or at the beach). Per Sue's request, a Celebration of Life was held prior to her passing, and there will therefore be no formal services. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Those wishing should make donations in Sue's memory to either Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, NY 13850 or the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, PO Box 32141, NY, NY 10087. Please remember Sue by spreading kindness with all you meet and as Winnie the Pooh said "If there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever."

Jack ... I am so sorry for your loss. Your daughter was obviously much loved and will be missed by many. I remember your kindness to my mother when my dad passed (Jim Schrader).

Sue was our daughter's Beginning Kindergarten teacher and I will always believe that she helped shape our girl. We will always remember her sparkle and her way with the young students! RIP Sue.
