Chris Pierpoint Obituary

Pierpoint, a gifted runner and soccer player who earned straight A's while playing clarinet in the Rincon Valley Middle School marching band, suffered a fatal brain hemorrhage while he slept.

Friends remembered Pierpoint as a talented athlete who pushed himself with a rare discipline, despite his natural gifts. During track races he was regularly half a lap ahead of other runners but was just as comfortable pacing teammates during workouts.

Some Coldplay came on the radio and I thought of you again, like I do every time I hear your favorite song. I still think of you and carry your memory with me, everywhere I go.

Everyone is finishing college now from our grade, and I wish you were here to show everyone what you truly were capable of. Every run I go on, I think of you. While you may be physically gone, what you left us will never leave. Thank you for being such a great friend and great human being. You are not forgotten.

Even though I wasn't close to you, You were a very fast runner running a 4 minute mile. No one can run as fast as you. The track shirt and sweatshirt said for CP in your memory. You were very good at math. There is an award dedicated to you. It was a pleasure having you on our color team until you died. Mrs.House gave you 100% stickers for color teams after you died.

July 6, 2011

Chris I knew you from a distance but you did not know me. I remember once i was running the mile and i remember you were right ahead of me, and you had started later. right after we finished, you congratulated me on running a good race. you always had such a good aura about you and you were a great person

Chris,

Everyone at Rincon really misses you. I want you to know that your plan of serving the whole school with hot chocolate is being fulfilled. I've known you since kindergarten at Merryhill, and it is hard to belive that you are gone. I remember when we were at the charter school ranning the mile, you would be a whole lap ahead of me. You were a role model to all, including me. We all love and miss you a lot, Chris.

Chris,
Everyone at Rincon loves and misses you. You're an inspiration, and so many people are saddened by your loss. You put everyone else before you, and always knew how to forgive--I should know. I'll never forget how we argued over dumb things in band, or English last year, or you giving me that v buck in geometry this year. I can't really believe we'll never see you again--you were always there, ready to help and joke around. You were so good at everything. We love and miss you. Words can't even express how sorrowful everyone, including myself, is. Rest in peace.

Chris,
Every single person at Rincon, and a ton of people at Santa Rosa, was touched by your existence. You are an inspiration to everyone, and I know that everyone is starting to "Pledge Pierpoint." You tried your hardest at everything you did, so people are promising to follow in your footsteps and do their best in everything they try. :) We love and miss you, Chris. Run In Peace

I once read about a boy who told his family why dogs pass before people. He said that it was because they learned to love and accept everyone and that was the goal of life. Chris always put himself first and loved and accepted all people. He excelled and was a model student. He accomplished the goal of life at such an early age. I give you my prayers and Chris will be remembered by everyone

Dear Mark,

I am so deeply saddened by the loss of your son. I wanted to let you know that we are all sharing your loss in our own way. Losses like this can make us challenge our faith; however, this is precisely the time when our faith needs to be its strongest.

I am praying that your faith will help you through this very difficult time. I pray that you will find the strength to get through your grief and sadness.

In Sincere Friendship,

Michelle

I was reading my mail, when Sal my cycling friend sends the sad news and read of your son’s death. I am so sorry and wanted to offer my condolences. Email is such a poor format for this. It is times like this that I most feel the physical distance that separates me from colleagues and friends; being a father, I feels such sadness of what you must be going through, it would be so much better if I could convey my condolences in person. But at the very least I want you to know that I am out here and I care. nacim
