BRENNEN, WILLIAM E., SR., 81 - of Marmora. Bill's journey ended on August 25, 2007 as he passed from this world to the next. Bill was born on May 16, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA. At the age of 12, he came to Ocean City to live with his dear aunt, Lillian DeHart. Bill was anxious to join the war movement and, at 17, he left high school to enlist in the Navy. In 2001 he earned a life-time achievement award at The National Old Timers' Auto Racing Club. And on Saturday, August 25, 2007, at the Bridgeport track, the flag flew at half-mast. He is predeceased by his loving companion, Clara, and the mother of his children, Doris. He leaves behind his daughter Carol Ann Caponiti, his son, William E. Brennen, Jr., his foster daughter, Patty Givens, his foster son, Eddie Givens, his stepson, Ricky Wynkoop, his stepdaughter, Janet Cook. Bill Brennen with his 1st grand-daughter, Cindy, back in August 1970
I'm sorry I couldn't be there to say goodbye. I'm grateful that my children, husband and I got to visit with you last July. It was probably the best visit we'd had with you in a long time. I know you are at peace now. Take care till I see you again.

Mom, I'm thinking of you and sending my prayers to you. I love you! Cindy

P.S. This is my favorite picture of me with PopPop when I was 2 back in 1970.
