My utmost condolences to the Strom and Coulling families in hearing of Lillian's passing.
My eight years at Giscome elementary were most enjoyable and memorable in having Lillian on staff. She was the "anchor"that helped keep the school operating efficiently. She was not only a friend and colleague, but a counsellor, advisor and confidant, not only to staff but for pupils and their parents, beyond belief. She was not only a valuable asset for S. D.# 57 but also to the community (Willow River Recreation Association, etc.) as a spirited volunteer. George, Lillian and others with the association at one time used the school for supper and live music dances(Spring break,New Years, etc.) for fund raising for school necessities and also Willow River projects.
Myself and numerous others touched by Lillian 's presence will never forget her.

Mrs. Coulling taught me first grade. I doubt that anyone who ever met her didn't learn from her. Whether it was school lessons or life lessons. She has left a lasting impression that will never be forgotten by anyone who was lucky enough to be taught by her. Thanks for everything.

Condolences to Bobby and family on the loss of a wonderful lady. She touched so many lives in many different ways. She was my first grade teacher and left lasting memories throughout the years. My favourite piece of advice from her was when my own son was starting school, she said "you teach him to tie his shoes and zip his coat and I'll teach him to read and write."
