I apologize for being late in this as JoAnne had phoned me a little while after Dicks passing to let me know and said the obituary would be out shortly. Our condolences to JoAnne and the Bornholdt family members. The one big thing in my mind that sticks out about Dick was when he was in the military, had to be in the late 1950's and he stopped in and gave me some empty shell casing from the army. To a 11 or 12yr. old gun & ammo nut (still am) he was my favourite cousin.

I’m sending my sincere sympathies to Dick’s Family and Joanne! I was reacquainted with Dick a few years ago when Sam and I visited . A gracious host sharing his life experiences and involvement in their beautiful community! His pride in his family and his hobbies were evident in his stories and recollections. A man who will be missed by many. Rest In Peace Dick....

I have early childhood memories of Dick & his brother, Ross. I was so happy (& lucky) to get to know him as an adult. He was a big presence in the family and will be missed.
