FANNIE ROBINSON Obituary

Mrs. Fannie Francis Robinson, 71, of 421 Winchester St., Prince George, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at her residence. She was born Aug. 26, 1942, to the late James and Pearl Crockett of Prince George.

She was a retiree of Masonite Inc., where she worked for 22 years, and was employed with Prince George County Public School System until her health declined.

Fannie received Christ at an early age joining Mt. Hope Baptist Church, Prince George. Later, she joined as a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She will certainly be remembered as a loving, devoted mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Robinson; brothers, Joseph, Leroy and James Crockett; sister, Mattie Sykes; and son-in-law, Spencer Green.

She leaves to cherish her memories, three sons, Tyrone Crockett (Nilda) of Petersburg, Alphonso Evans (Stacey) of Disputanta and James Evans (Cheryl) of Prince George; three daughters, Bridgette Green of Prince George, Regina Evans of Petersburg and Tara Silver (Trussaine) of Hopewell; two sisters, Mildred Nick of New York and Catherine Crockett (Curtis) of Prince George; brother, Charles Crockett (Judy) of Chesterfield; three sisters-in-law, Barbara, Marion and Doris; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A homegoing service for Mrs. Fannie Robinson will be held noon Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 4405 Prince George Drive. The pastor, the Rev. F. Lamont Gooding, will officiate. Interment will follow at church cemetery.

The family will assemble 11 a.m. at the residence. Honorary and active pallbearers will assemble 11:30 a.m. at the church on day of service. They will be receiving friends at 421 Winchester St., Prince George, and may be contacted by calling Bridgette, 804-862-1565.
