Phyllis Simmons Obituary
Sussex County - 79, went to be with The Lord Friday, April 30, 2021. She was born October 24, 1941 in Wise, Virginia to the late Lester and Alene Ramey Wallen. Phyllis was also preceded in death by a daughter, Belinda Jean Simmons; a sister, Jean Reekes; and two brothers, Freddie Wallen and Bobby Wallen, Sr. She is survived by three daughters, Regina Davis (Berj), Regana Jennings (Charlie Winfield), and Rhonda Epps (Wayne); one son, Lester "Tim" Wray (Danielle); nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three special four legged friends, Tiny, Squirt, and Sadie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Phyllis was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be missed by her family and everyone that knew her. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard. A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at High Hills Memorial Cemetery, Kientz Road, Jarratt, Va, 23867. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
