To the Bolling Family, it was my blessing to have known and to be in the presence of Marvin. Starting from junior high onto high school where where we were graduating members of the class of 1974. My fondest memories of hearing him play his horn in school and in his r&b. We both shared the love of music in and out of school. He will be forever be remembered as a kind and genuine soul and we all will surely miss him. His friend, Marvin Ridley

Marvin was such a wonderful person and I was blessed to be able to know such genuine person. He’ll argue me down and say me and LaToya didn’t beat him and papa Malcolm multiple times in spades, and those are my favorite memories. God gained an angel. My heart is with the entire Bolling family. The only peace to find with this is knowing that he is no longer in pain. I love you. Rest well.
