Piluri, Dennis
Age 69, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on January 5, 2019 in Phoenix.
Dennis was born to Seit and Mary Piluri on September 26, 1949. He spent his formative years at Lincoln Jr./Sr. High School. He joined the Air Force after graduating from Providence College – Go Friars! Dennis married the love of his life, who he called his angel, Deborah, on January 30, 1972 in Woonsocket, RI. Following his career in retail with Ann and Hope, he was the original owner and operator of Lincoln Landscape. At the time of his passing, he was the proud owner of Great Western Sales, an organic fertilizer distributorship.
Dennis touched everyone he met with his warm wit, loyalty, and exemplary character. He was an honest and caring man who went to great lengths to provide for his family and instill morals and everlasting values. When not working, he could be found playing board games with his family, catching a professional baseball game, or reading books. He was his grandsons' number one fan, attending all of their (many) baseball and basketball games.
Dennis loved to travel throughout the United States and could often be found on the beaches of Destin, FL, Kauai, HI and Cape Cod, MA. He loved life and knew the memories resulting from time spent with family and friends were more valuable and long lasting than any material possessions. Such memories bring solace and smiles to his family during this difficult time.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Seit and Mary (Bequir) Piluri, and his sister, Ruth Bedard.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Deborah, his daughters, Kristin Piluri-Skinner and Stacey Piluri, his son-in-law, Brian Skinner, and his grandchildren who he adored, Samuel Skinner and Seth Skinner (all of Phoenix, AZ). He is also survived by his brother, Robert Piluri, his sister-in-law, Joanne, and his nieces, Sarah Piluri and Laura Piluri of Lincoln, RI; his brother-in-law, John Bedard of Cumberland, RI, as well as many extended family members whom he loved dearly.
The family of Dennis wishes to extend our sincere thanks the staff of St. Joseph's Hospital for the care and compassion they have shown the family throughout this process.
Memorial services will be delayed as the family grieves. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages those whose lives were touched by Dennis to honor his memory by sending personal stories, remembrances and/or photos to PO Box 25955, Scottsdale, AZ 85255-0115. Also, donations may be made in Dennis' memory to one of Dennis' favorite causes--the Wounded Warrior Project at https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate or St. Jude's Hospital at www.stjude.org/give--or the charitable organization of your choice.
