Nina Galvin Obituary
63, of Johnston, passed away peacefully at home with her husband, Michael on December 30, 2020.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 23 years, Michael K. Galvin.
Born in Cerreto Sannita, Italy, Nina was the loving daughter of Angelo and Michelina Ricciotti, and sister of Rina Bonollo and Michael Ricciotti.
In addition, she is also survived by her loving children, Veronica A. Rendina,Esq. and her husband Gianluca; and her son John J. Amaral, Jr. and his wife, Amanda.
She also leaves her most cherished grandchildren, Ava Nina, Aidan and Jianni.
Nina was the co-owner of MKG Beauty Academy with her husband. She also worked at Women & Infants Hospital for 40 years touching the lives of so many colleagues and patients that crossed her path both in the main hospital and on the oncology ward. She also worked as an agent on the Williams & Stuart Real Estate team in Cranston. She was fluent in Italian, loved animals, traveling, spending time with her kids and most of all being a Nonni.
Her smile and generous spirit was known both near and far by everyone who had the pleasure to meet her for just a moment.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, January 5thfrom 8-10am at St. Ann's Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence. A Mass of Christian burial will be private. A livestream of Nina's Mass will be available at 11am on Facebook at: (Al St. Ann's Church). Entombment will be private at Garden Mausoleum, St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: The ALS Association, 1300 Wilson Blvd., Suite 600, Arlington, VA 22209. Arrangements entrusted to: A.A. I met Nina when she met her husband Michael.I was one of the receptionists at Michael’s Hair Salon & Day Spa. I attended their wedding. She was a sweet, beautiful person who was always smiling.
