Just now, many years after his becoming a Deacon, I was reading a memory from my Spiritual Diary from the late 1980s, and was noting the great positive influence Bob had on me... and then I received this Legacy opportunity to share this warm, heartfelt comment. God sure does move in mysterious ways (:

In the 70's, Paulette and Deacon Bob taught in the CCD Program of St. Louis de France. I drove my daughter Renee to their home in Swansea on one evening each week when she was in junior high. Bob sang and played his guitar and their loving ways of teaching, brought the love of Christ to these teenagers. Deacon Bob was warm and loving to all through all the years. He and Paulette were a blessing to our lives!
Rest in peace, Deacon Bob; you have served us well.
My sympathy to all your family. You were the loves of his life!

Dear Paulette and family,
So sorry for your loss. Bob was a good friend to all, and a large and positive influence to all who came in contact with him at St. Louis. He will be remembered by many and missed by all. Claudette and I will keep all of you in our prayers.

Bob & his wife were fellow Franciscan Lay people in the 1980s in Fall River. Our small group developed loving legacy amongst us. Bob was known to all as a good man, and that is a wonderful way to be known.
