WINSOR, Thomas A.,
surrounded by his family, Thomas laid his tools down on March 30, 2021. Tom was born on October 11, 1934 to Florence D. and Irving L. Winsor of Warwick, RI. He was married to Carolyn (Cornell) Winsor for 60 years. Father to CA Winsor and Julie B. Edwards of North Kingstown. Grandfather to Seth T. Edwards and Dylan J. Edwards. Tom follows his siblings Marion Small, Anna O'Loughlin, Mary Perry, Ernest Winsor, and Irving L. Winsor, Jr. to eternal rest, leaving behind siblings Alice Wheeler and Philip Winsor. Tom served in the US Army as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne. He worked for American Steel and Aluminum Corp. as a driver for 20 years until his retirement in 1984 at which time he became a self-employed carpenter, passing his considerable skills onto his helpers and daughters alike. A talented gardener, Tom produced bushels of fresh vegetables for family and friends each summer. Tom was a lifelong Freemason, very active at many levels within the fraternity. He was a past master and long serving secretary of Warwick Lodge #16 F&AM, Past High Priest of Landmark Chapter, Member of the Masonic Veterans, Member of Swords of Bunker Hill, and holder of Grand Lodge 50 Year Medal. A Masonic Service will be held Monday, April 5, 2021 at 9:45 am in the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Ave., West Warwick, RI. Inurnment with Military Honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
