Thomas Marcello Obituary

MARCELLO, THOMAS A. 71, of Barrington, died Monday, Sept. 19, 2016. Thomas was the son of the late Arthur and Rosalie (Moniz) Marcello. Beloved husband of Cathleen (Connolly) Marcello. Along with his wife, he is survived by his daughter Rachel Marcello of Barrington; his son Adam Marcello and his wife Naomi Coleman of Ireland; and brother Arthur Marcello of Barrington. He was the grandfather of Luke and Ethan Marcello, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to Case High Drama Boosters, c/o Joseph Case High School, 70 School Street, Swansea, MA, 02777. Some people leave a HUGE impression on a life. Mr. M was that for me. I will be forever grateful for all I learned from him. I respected him in a way that few have come close to. His craft and his passion for it were a gift! My prayer is that all of us deeply touched by his life and his passing will share that gift with others.

Dear Cathy, Rachel and Adam, I'm so sorry for your loss. M was one of my best friends in high school. He inspired me to go to Emerson college and taught me the most important lessons in life. He was by far, my favorite teacher and mentor. He had a huge impact on everyone who was lucky enough to have studied under him. He will be missed. All my love and thoughts and prayers go out to you. I met Rachel and Adam in 84'-87' when I was a student and got to meet you again at M's surprise reunion at the Venice De Milo. It was awesome to see you as adults. Dearest Marcello Family; M was the one, if not THE most influential people atleast for me at Case. He was one of those teachers that isn't just a teacher but a friend. Someone who genuinely cared about not your school work, but your well being. I can't believe he's gone. My deepest condolences to the family. He was a great man, teacher, and all around person. We hit the ground running,london to Rome, a letter delivered,he couldn't wait to get home. we rocked the boats in Capri,in the bluest of sea, then Venice seemed like his place to be. Weeks with Tom,we ate plate after plate of Pasta, veal and peas,chicken palm yes and always more wine please.BASTA,basta, we would groan, yes,he was in a hurry to get home!.. planes and trains a girl to meet. Every day an adventure to be, a memory of joy,with the birth of his boy i remember the birth of his boy.in Delektas we chat with memories of Cat.now old and gray we greive his passing away,beleiving that we be togeather again one day.GOD BLESS TOM on his latest of trips to the heavens we look forward to our next trip.
