Carolyn M. Famiglietti

FAMIGLIETTI, CAROLYN M.
of Watertown, MA., passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. Nicki was born in Providence, R.I. She was the daughter of the late Arthur P. Famiglietti and Maria (Golini) Famiglietti. Nicki graduated from Elmhurst Academy of the Sacred Heart, Manhattanville College and Boston University School of Law. She was a leader in the efforts from 1985 onward, to re-engineer the Commonwealth's Child Support Enforcement Program. Nicki was Chair of the legislative committee for Governor Dukasis' Child Support Enforcement Commission and then for more than 20 years at the Department of Revenue's Child Support Enforcement Division first as deputy legal counsel and then as regional counsel for Middlesex County.
She was very active civically in Watertown especially her work with the Watertown Free Public Library Building Fund, Inc.
Nicki had a variety of interests: mentoring, tutoring, reading, playing bridge, and swimming at the Y. She had an intellectually stimulating way of looking at things. Her polite and quiet demeanor brought solace to her family and friends.
Nicki is survived by her sister Carlotta (Famiglietti) Martell of Providence, R.I., her niece Maria White of Washington, D.C., many cousins, and her dearest friends Dan Farber of Yorktown, VA., Greta Ungar of Watertown, MA and Corinne Kazarosian of Northboro, MA.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Warren G. Harding Jr and her two sisters, Mixie Famiglietti and Mina (Famiglietti) White. A memorial service will be held in July, 2017. For on-line condolences, visit boyleandsonfuneralhome.com
