Barry Ferrell Obituary
Born August 7, 1986 in Providence, a son of Barry Douglas Ferrell and Trixy (Palmer) Ferrell. He had been a lifelong resident of the city.
Butta, a June 2005 graduating senior at Alternative Learning Project (ALP) in Providence, was working as an environmentalist with Ground Works.
Besides his parents, Barry is survived by five brothers, Brandon Ferrell, Brent Ferrell, Bryant Ferrell, Baheem Ferrell, Ryann Ottey, all of Providence, maternal grandfather, Eric Palmer of Providence, maternal grandmother, Harriet (Littlejohn) Doran of Wakefield, paternal great, grandfather, Earl Seales of Fall River, MA and paternal great, grandmother, Virginia Seales of East Providence.
The funeral service will be Friday at 10AM in Beneficent Congregational Church, 300 Weybosset Street, Providence. Calling hours are 2-4PM and 7-9PM, both Thursday in Bright Funeral Home, 290 Public Street, Providence. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, 5 Branch Avenue, Providence.

Whats Good Barry? I remember like it was yesterday you calling me a pretty boy because Brent and I had a game for central. Remember Camp Davis that was the best summer ever, us sneaking out of our cabin for the girls. "You was always good with the girls." I knew you had something going you wasn't into the streets you was focused, a few months from graduated high school. I remember seeing you the day you pasted, downtown we talked for a few minutes you laughed and smiled got on the bus and that was the last time i saw you... When i got that phone call i bursted out in tears because we were close and it sucks to lose a good friend.. but i know your in Good Hands...

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

Hello Barry i had a dream about you last night it was so funny we was at the reck and we was playing ball and you passed the ball to me and Bullet did the same thing at the same time and i got hit with both balls.LOL For real i miss you kid. I was gonna go to the reck but who would i play ball with? :( i think about the times we always ended up on the bus at the same time and sit right next to eachother then not even look at eachother till we relized that we was going to your house and laugh about it i miss you and love you, you stay on my mind i love you with a passion and all my heart see when i see you . Well it has now been a year since you have passed. When I think about when we met back in fourth grade; when we went to John Hope it always brings a smile to my face. We became friends in a heartbeat. It brings tears to my eyes to remember that you are no longer around. From time to time I still look at our middle school year book and read what you wrote. And we will always be friends even if you are far apart. You are always in my thoughts and prayers.

I know how you feel about this whole situation. I feel awful after I heard the bad news. He was a good kid trying to get into college and I am getting tired of everyone killing all of our young people. I think that we just lost a good kid with a good future and that's an injustice. I can't express how sorry I am about your son. He is a very big loss to everyone. I send my condolences and wish you and your family the best. Nobody ever really realizes how much they care about a person until they are gone, I just wish I could have said goodbye. He was a loving and caring person with a beautiful, and heartbreaking smile. He was the nicest in basketball at ALP. He had alot of things going for him, including graduation this year. I just want to let you and your family know that even though there is no way to bring him back, His memory will be kept alive from friends and family.
