Leland L. Leedy, 61 of Cumberland Highway, Newburg, died Friday, March 8, 2013 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born Sunday, March 11, 1951, in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Ambrose Z. Leedy and Meda E. Varner Leedy of Shippensburg. Leland was a 1969 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School and was previously employed at the former Ingersoll-Rand, Shippensburg. He was of the Christian Faith. He loved hunting, fishing, working on cars and spending time with his family. Surviving are three daughters, Nicole Fair of Hagerstown, Md., Brooke Coder and Brianna Neil both of Chambersburg; three sons, Christopher Leedy of Saint Marys, Ga., Jereme Leedy of Newburg, and Lucas Leedy of Orrstown; two brothers, Lester Leedy of Shippensburg, and Kevin Leedy of Camden, S.C.; and 13 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc. with the Rev. Robert L. Mentzer officiating. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.fogelsanger-brickerfuneralhome.com

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. We have fond memories of Leland and his pets. It was a pleasure working with him. What a long and difficult road he traveled in these last years. He is at peace now.

I just heard the news today and cant believe one my favorite residents passed away. Leland i know there is a place in heaven for you. You were such a loving person to others and your family. Leland was a great man and always enjoyed taking care of him at my old job. He was one of my residents. There was never a dull moment with him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family through this tough time.
