Naomi Weller Obituary

Naomi B. Weller, 70, of Mercersburg passed away peacefully at 6:45 p.m. on January 16, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family. Her husband of 33 years, Oscar F. "Ozzie" Weller, died April 1, 2011. Born October 24, 1942, in Maddensville, she was a daughter of the late Fred O. and Verda Penrod Brown. Naomi graduated from Saltillo High School and earned her degree from Shippensburg University. She enjoyed her career in social work where she was employed by Head Start of Fulton County and later the Office of Aging in both Fulton and Franklin Counties. She retired from Area Agencies on Aging in 2007. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Mercersburg, Mercersburg Women's Club, the Fendrick Library Book Club, and did volunteer work for MACWell. Naomi's children include Christy Coltrin and husband Brad Oldham, who have three children, Presley 18, Beatrice 15 and Anabelle 10, in Dallas, TX; Robb Coltrin and wife Jennifer also have three children: Grace 12, Truman 9 and Murphy 9, in Atlanta, GA; and Amanda Cline and her husband Berkley have one son Ezra 2, with a daughter on her way, in Mercersburg. She is also survived by siblings Dick Brown of Chambersburg, Art Brown of Maddensville, and Thelma and husband Lyle Reed of McConnellsburg, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Brown. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. January 21st at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg. There will be no viewing; however the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercersburg Area Council for Wellness (MACWell), 123 N. Main Street, Mercersburg, PA 17236.
