Gary Yeager

Mercersburg - Gary A. Yeager, 76, of Mercersburg, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 in his home, following a brief illness.

Born May 2, 1942, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Ralph L. and Ruby Pugh Yeager.

Gary graduated from St. Thomas High School in 1960. He participated on the school's basketball, soccer, and baseball teams. Gary was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting, and was a passionate Penn State football fan. He also enjoyed baking pies for his family and friends and target shooting. Gary retired from Mack Truck Inc. in 1990.

He was a member of the St. Thomas Sportsmen's Association.

Gary is survived by his wife Rose Marie Faith Yeager, whom he married September 1, 1962. Three daughters: Julie M. (Jim) Consoletti, Greencastle, Katrina A. (Kevin) Hawk, and Michelle R. (Jason) Boudreau both of Chambersburg. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Andrew and Ryan Consoletti, Aaron, Bailey, and Gabrien Hawk, Jenna, Lauren, and Jared Boudreau.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg, with Pastor Harold E. Yeager officiating.

There will be no viewing. Memorial visitation one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Private burial at St. Thomas Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to SpiriTrust Lutheran Hospice, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17202
