Cora Crunkleton
Chambersburg - Cora Susan (Kuhns) Crunkleton, 89, of Chambersburg, passed to her eternal home on Tuesday afternoon, December 11, 2018, at Menno Haven. Born December 5, 1929 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Martha Horst Kuhns. She attended Chambersburg area schools and worked in local retail department stores for many years. She later retired from the former American Can Company where she had been employed as a Quality Control Inspector. She was a faithful member of the Church of the Brethren where she enjoyed singing in the choir and using her hand quilting talents to help make numerous quilts. She had been a long time hospital volunteer and served as a board member with Habitat for Humanity. Her husband, Theodore W. Crunkleton, whom she married September 16, 1950, preceded her in death on December 28, 2009.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Wenger (Garry); her granddaughter, Brandie Wenger (Rick); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the Church of the Brethren with Pastor Joel Nogle officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service on Tuesday at the church. Private interment will be at Norland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Brethren, 260 South Fourth Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
