Judy was a Certified Professional Midwife and a member of NARM. She was dedicated to her profession and took tremendous joy in bringing a new life into the world. Judy is survived by her husband of 25 years, James M. Melvin of Orrstown; three sons, James Weingartner of Cody, WY, and Joseph and Joshua Mentzer, both of Atlanta, GA; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Rosemary Smith of CA and Sheila Thorne of Newfoundland, Canada; nieces, Sheila Cathers of CA, Julie Saldivar of CA, and Sheena Plumber of NJ; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
