Sarah J. Martin

Chambersburg - Sarah J. Martin, 96, of Chambersburg, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Menno Haven in Chambersburg.

Born Friday, July 28, 1922 in Southampton Township, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Raymond H. and Harriet J. Hutchison Rebuck.

Sarah was a member of the Prince Street United Brethren Church, Shippensburg. She retired in 1984 from the former J. Shoeneman Clothing Company in Chambersburg. She was a member of the Golden Age Club, A.A.R.P. Chapter # 2525, and the Upper Strasburg Citizen's Group.

She is survived by one son, Robert M. Martin, Jr., Chambersburg; two daughters, Wilma M. (husband Terry) Rosenberry, Chambersburg, and Wanita J. (husband Russell) Gutshall, Shippensburg; 11 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Martin, Sr., who died July 17, 2000, one son, Larry L. Martin, one granddaughter, Darla J. Martin, four brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 13, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Prince Street United Brethren Church, with the Rev. Michael Wentz officiating. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held Sunday, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., and one hour prior to the service on Monday, in the Church.
