Fort Myers, FL - Shirley A. Naugle, 88, a resident of Shell Point Retirement Village in Fort Myers, FL passed away on May 12, 2018.

Shirley grew up in Chambersburg, where she met and later married her high school sweetheart, Wilbur (Dick) D. Naugle, who predeceased her in 2011. A born teacher, Shirley graduated from Gettysburg College with an Education degree to teach Spanish and History. She taught Spanish at Central Dauphin High School where she thoroughly enjoyed her students, their enthusiasm, and their positive energy.

In Chambersburg, Shirley was active at Trinity Lutheran Church, teaching adult Sunday School, leading Bible studies, and singing on the choir with her parents. In FL, Shirley was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and later the Village Church at Shell Point. Her love of music led her to singing on her church choir and with the Shell Point Singers. Spending time with her beloved husband, children and grandchildren was her greatest joy. Shirley is survived by her daughters. Shelley Naugle of Naples, FL and Lisa Naugle of Chicago, IL; her son, Martin Naugle (Cindee) of Harrisburg; her grandchildren, Matthew Naugle and Megan Seymore (Josh); and two great-granddaughters.
