Paul W. Emerick, Sr. Paul W. Emerick, Sr., 73, of Chambersburg, passed away August 11, 2014, at home. He was born September 1, 1940, in Fairhope, PA to Verdie and Leora (Emerick) Emerick. He was married to Sharon Houck Emerick on July 14, 1979. Paul had retired from Letterkenny Army Depot. He was a member of Edenville United Methodist Church, Edenville Ruritan, American Legion Post 612 St. Thomas, AARP, and St. Thomas Sportsmans. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and feeding the birds. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Houck Emerick and their five children: Charlene (wife of Dave) McClure of Chambersburg, Paul (husband of Leah) Emerick, Jr. of Dillsburg, Michael ( husband of Rebecca) Patterson of McConnellsburg, Jeffrey (husband of Laurie) Patterson of St. Thomas, and Wendy (wife of Anthony) Rauhut of Palm Coast, Florida. Paul has six grandchildren: Adam Patterson, David (DJ) McClure, Aaron Rauhut, Sophie Rauhut, Tyler Crouse and KC Crouse; and a great-granddaughter, Sophie Crouse. He is also survived by four sisters: Betty Clites, Pauline Moore, Wilma Hatridge, June Kimmel; and three brothers: Wayne, Ernest and Robert Emerick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Delia Andrada Flores Emerick; a daughter, Kathy Jo Emerick; a sister, Sharon Haggerty; and four brothers, John, George, Merle and James Emerick. A memorial service will be held Friday, Aug. 15th at 1:00 PM at Edenville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Terry Hughes officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be sent to Lutheran Hospice of Franklin County, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA. 17201; or to the . Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, PA will be handling the arrangements.
