James William "Jimmy" Imes, 65, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Wednesday May 6, 2020 at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
He was born on April 3, 1955, to Harold and Frances (Ellett) Imes in Lancaster, Pa.
Jimmy graduated from Glendale High School and attended New Beginnings Church of Walston and Saints Cosmas and Damian Church of Punxsutawney.
He was employed at FEMCO Machine as a field service technician for 32 years, where he acquired many lifelong friends.
Jimmy enjoyed reading, listening to music and traveling with his beloved wife. He adored his children and grandchildren and watching them grow.
He is survived by his wife of 2.5 years, Michele (Tattersall) Imes of Punxsutawney, the love of his life. He is also survived by son Andy (Jennifer) Imes of Mahaffey and daughter Candice Shipley of Clearfield; four grandchildren, Jeannise and Olivia Imes and Mailyn and Gerald Shipley; two step-daughters, Alicia Travis and Emily (Lorne) Hyskell; a brother, Pastor Tim (Rhonda) Imes of York, and sister Sandy (Jeff) Liuzzo of Greenfield Township; a niece, Cyndee (Nick) Noss and their son Jimmy Noss, and a nephew, Neil (Gina) Imes and their daughters Addison and Allyson Imes.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, visitation and services are private.
The McCabe Funeral Home Inc. of Punxsutawney has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.We were good friends of your dad who preceded you in passing and love your brother and his family . Although I did not know you personally I see the same great smile of Tim and your dad RIP
