April 17, 1962 - Jan. 30, 2021 Third generation San Pedro native, Albert "Bert" W. Faria III passed away into the arms of Jesus on January 30th, 2021 at the age of 58 from complications due to COVID-19. Bert was born on April 17, 1962 to Albert Jr. and Lydia Faria in San Pedro, CA. He attended San Pedro High School and graduated in 1980. Following his graduation, he attended Harbor College and Harbor Occupational to study to become an electrician. In 1993, Bert met the love of his life, Jessica, and were married on October 8, 1994 in Oxnard. Bert and Jessica lived in Oregon for 20 years and in 2015, returned to his hometown to be closer to his family. Bert loved to hear and learn stories of the family history, sharing his own childhood memories with everyone at each family gathering. He attended local classic car shows and loved checking out the lowriders along Paseo every chance he had. He enjoyed riding his bike and being minutes away from the San Pedro coast he loved. He led his life through his faith in Jesus Christ, which was seen through his kind heart by all those he loved and cherished. Bert is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jessica, his sister, Mara (Henry), his mother-in-law, Bonnie, his sister-in-law, Sybil, his brother-in-law, Matthew, his nieces, Heaven (John), Liora, Lily, Violet and Olivia, his nephew, David, and his loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
