Oct. 15, 1952 - March 23, 2021 Ann Jezin, aka Annie, a beloved sister and aunt with a giving heart and love for family, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 after a 3 year battle with cancer. Ann Jezin was born to Mike and Mary Jezin on October 15, 1952 in San Pedro, California. She was a lifetime resident of San Pedro where she attended Point Fermin Elementary School, Dana Junior High School and graduated from San Pedro High School in 1970. She received her Associates of Arts Degree from Los Angeles Harbor College in 1972. She worked at Sav-Ons Drug Store for 10 years where she met two of her very best friends. After Sav-Ons, she owned and operated Enchant‚ Bridal and Boutique in San Pedro where she designed and created many custom wedding dresses as well as bridesmaid and formal dresses. She then ventured into the travel business where she owned and operated Your Partner In Travel. As a travel agent, she took many wonderful trips and saw the world. Her last trip was with her sister Janie, niece Angela and brother-in-law Gary on a Baltic Cruise where she visited Russia and many other counties. Seeing Russia was a lifetime dream of hers. Ann was a member of the San Pedro's Lions Club where she enjoyed helping others. She enjoyed spending time with her family, Sunday afternoon outings with her sister Janie either shopping or seeing a movie, cooking, playing poker and games with family and friends, and sewing. Ann did not have any children, but her cats, Milo and Suzie, were her children. In 1989, at the age of 36, Ann was gravely ill with a very rare liver disease. She was fortunate to receive a liver transplant which gave her an additional 32 years of blessed life to spend with her family and friends. Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Mary Jezin. She is survived by her sisters, Janie (Gary) Cardamone, Maria Setka, and Rita Skunca; brother Tony (Mirela) Jezin; step-mother Celestina Jezin, nieces Jennifer (Peter) Andersen, Angela Cardamone, Lucy Skunca, Vanessa Jezin and Adrianne Jezin; nephews Steve (Katie) Setka, Mike (Cindy) Setka, Tony (Sharon) Setka, Lanny (Cindy) Setka, George Setka, John (Mari) Skunca, Joseph Skunca, and Mike Jezin, as well as many other great nieces, nephews and cousins. Annie will be missed by many and her presence will live on inside each of us that knew her. Services will be Friday, April 9, 2021 at 1:15 PM at Holy Trinity Church, 1292 W. Santa Cruz Street, San Pedro. Interment to follow at Green Hills Memorial Park. Social distancing will be enforced. Please sign the guestbook at mcnerneysmortuary.com.
