1921 - 2021 Catherine Pyne Partridge, the daughter of Walter Franklin Pyne (1889-1979) and Margaret Grace Mary Shaw (1889-1957), passed away peacefully at the age of 100. She was a graduate of Los Angeles High School at age 16 and entered UCLA where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Catherine majored in Art and English. She also acquired a California Teaching Credential. Following graduation, Catherine was the Personnel Director at Associate Petroleum (Flying A). In 1943, Catherine married George Frederick Partridge, who also graduated from Los Angeles High School and UCLA. After the completion of George's service in World War II, Catherine and George built a home in Rolling Hills, where they raised their family and hosted many special family events. Catherine was a founding member of the Peninsula Committee for the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. Catherine was very active in the Rolling HIlls Tennis Club and played regularly until the age of 91. Catherine leaves Fred (Elisa) Partridge, Cree (Julie) Partridge, Jim Partridge, Susan (Russell) Ginise; her grandchildren, Tom (Lucy) Partridge, Matthew (Gabriela) Partridge, Steven Partridge, Erin Partridge, Morgan (Michele) Partridge, Adrienne Partridge, Greg (Virginia) Partridge, Will (Krista) Partridge, Elizabeth Ginise, Brian Ginise, Katherine Ginise and Ethan Ginise; and her great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Walter, Henrietta, Theodore, Francis, Caroline, Keska, Jackson and Grady. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, George Partridge; her sisters, Virginia) Dean) Briggs, Joscelin (Joseph) Barry and Jane (Doug) Adams and her daughter-in-law, Elisa Ingrassia Partridge. A funeral mass will be held at St. John Fischer Church in Rancho Palos Verdes at 11:00am on Friday, April 23, 2021. A socially distanced gathering will follow at the family home in Rolling Hills.
