Sept. 7, 1954 - April 22, 2021 David was born in Kansas City, Kansas to Harold and Fern Mize and passed away in Torrance, California David grew up in Scottsdale, AZ along with his three siblings. He graduated from Coronado High School in 1973. In the early 1980's he moved to Los Angeles and became a car salesman. Starting at Lynch Motors, he also worked at Champion Chevrolet, Albertson Oldsmobile & Chevrolet, and other dealerships, totaling over 30 years in the business. In 1984 he met Patricia Fassler (and her son Justin). David and Patti fell in love and in 1987 they married in Santa Barbara. David was a loving husband, father, and family man. He had many hobbies such as fishing, gardening, and of course, cars. He was known for his corny jokes and annual Father's Day BBQ where his grilling and cooking skills were on full display. David is survived by his loving wife Patricia, step-son, Justin Fassler (wife Shelley); sister, Marsha Mize (children Mia, Jordan, and Chandra); brother, Phil Mize (wife Charolyn, children Meredith and Ashley) and sister, Melissa Mize-Jones (husband Greg, children Tyler and Aubrey). He leaves behind many cousins and great-nieces & nephews. David will be missed by all. In his honor, wear a Hawaiian shirt, cowboy boots, or take a day to go fishing. May he rest in paradise. Aloha David!

You are always so brave. There are so many things we were able to do together because you led us with no fear. Thanks for the adventure.

I do not know anyone with as much knowledge about so many subjects.

Love you, David

I always looked forward to seeing you at the family gatherings as did my daughters. You were the life of the kids table! Also, your barbecues were always so tasty and festive. Love, Diane

My Mom and I were watching a high school football game. When the team made a touchdown, everybody stood wildly cheering. Just then David walked in front of the bleachers bowing ,saying "thank you" and throwing kisses to the crowd! Bravo David! A life well played. I Love and miss you! Marsha Mize
