November 30, 1933 - February 28, 2021 Dolores was born to Raybon Collins and Dorothy Collins, on November 30, 1933 in Leavenworth, Kansas. She attended Immaculata Catholic High School. While working at the Army Detention Barracks in Leavenworth, Kansas, as the Commandant's secretary, she met her future husband, Raymond Lloyd. Raymond was stationed there for the United States Army. She was preceded in death by Raymond in 2017. Dolores was married to Raymond for sixty-one wonderful years with "never a dull moment." Dolores had several part-time jobs, including the Department of Motor Vehicles, but she spent most of her time, and energy being the Matriarch of the family. She prided herself, in cooking fabulous meals for the holidays for the entire family. She continued the tradition up until her passing. Dolores still believed in sending handwritten cards to the entire family for every occasion. She was constantly busy taking her children and Grandchildren to sporting and school events. Dolores was the Little League scorekeeper, Troop Leader for Girl Scouts, volunteered at various charities and taught Catechism. She enjoyed drawing, completing intricate puzzles, sewing and playing with her feline partner, "Kiko." Dolores was the loving mother of Leslie Marie, Kevin Collins (Wife Lisa) and Gavin Montgomery Lloyd. She was the proud Grandmother of Lawrence Ontiveros, Rachel Belanger (Husband Nicholas), Devin Lloyd and Kacee Rae Lloyd. Her Great Grandchildren Raegan, Wyatt and Emmett (Mother Elizabeth). She is also survived by her sister-in-law Monica Young and brother-in-law Rodney Lloyd. God blessed us with her as a wife, mother, grandmother and Great Grandmother. "Grammie" will be missed by many! The viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, from 4:00 PM 8:00 PM at Halverson, Stone & Myers Mortuary at 1223 Cravens Avenue, Torrance. Interment will be delayed, due to Covid-19.
