01/29/1925 - 02/19/2021 Isabel Apostol Gonzales, age 96, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2021 in her second home at Arbor Hall in Carson, California. She was born in Binondo, Manila, Philippines to Remedios and Faustino Apostol. She graduated from Torres High School in Tondo, Manila in 1941. Four years later, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering - Chemical Engineering from Far Eastern University (FEU), Manuel L. Quezon University (MLQU) and Adamson University (AU) all in Manila, Philippines. She came to the U.S. (L.A. area) on March 21, 1971 following her husband Conrado and oldest son Reynaldo. She went back to school for further studies and took Bio-Chemistry at Harbor College. She worked for several companies and finally settled in at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard and the Dept. of Labor as an ombudsman until she retired at the age of 75. Isabel traveled to different parts of U.S., Canada, Southeast Asia and the Philippines. She was a member of the Chemical Society of the U.S. She was also involved with the Wednesday Senior Club of San Pedro and belonged to Holy Trinity Catholic Church in San Pedro. She was married to Conrado for 48 years until his passing on January 5, 1989. Isabel is predeceased by her parents Remedios and Faustino Apostol, daughters Rebecca and Carmen, son Manuel, brothers Carlos and Isabelo, and sisters Felixberta and Eufemia. She is survived by daughter Editha (Brian Robinson) of San Pedro; sons Reynaldo of Poway, Rodolfo (Orcina) of Oceanside, Antonio (Violeta) of San Diego; daughter-in-law Josefina of Chula Vista and son-in law Roy of San Diego. Grandchildren: Ronald and Derek Robinson; Rodney and Ronald P.; Lisa, Manuel Jr. (Jun) and Mark; Jacklyn and Jay; Jeffrey, Justin and James; and Elizabeth F. Great Grandchildren: Abigail R., David G., Brooklyn and Cooper C., Keira and Ian N., Clark and Dean G. Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in San Pedro as follows: 11:00am - 12:30pm Viewing 12:30pm - 1:00pm Rosary 1:15pm - 2:15pm Mass. Isabel will be laid to rest alongside with her husband who patiently waited for her for 32 years. Graveside service will be at Green Hills Memorial Park at Rancho Palos Verdes. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, San Pedro in memory of Isabel Gonzales. May she rest in peace.
