He spent his time while in the hospital singing the Mariachi songs that he loved. Joe had the pleasure of being a brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather. He will be lovingly remember and missed by all of his family and friends. Joe was predeceased by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Ruth Acosta. Survived by his caring son, Joe Acosta Jr. and wife, Yolanda Acosta and doting daughter, Yvonne Ritchie and husband, Steve Ritchie; granddaughters, Dianna Chavez and husband, Mario Chavez, Christina Partida and husband, Tomas Partida, and Barbara Ritchie; great grandchildren, Richard Garcia Jr., Adrianna Garcia, Tristan Partida, Nevaeh Chavez and Meigan Partida; great-great granddaughter, Hope Garcia and his devoted chihuahua companion and baby girl, Lilian aka Lillie. Joe had an amazing and long life full of adventures and friendships. He had a deep impact on so many people's lives and would never hesitate to help anyone in need. Despite only completing the 4th grade he made a very fruitful life for himself and his family. He paved the way for them to thrive and be successful. Joe was very sharp and always had a witty comeback or joke for anyone he was talking to. His playfulness and laughter kept him young at heart. He was a blessing to all that had the pleasure of meeting him. Joe will be put to rest on Monday, February 22, 2021.
