I visited Kim for many Anapolis weekends. In 955 he was on his way to ask me to marry him but I had met someone else who was much closer in vacinity. Maryland kept us apart. I remember Kim more fondly than I should.

I was a friend of Kimm's at Annapolis and was always sorry we didn't keep in touch. With a strenuous scheme of my own, I became ill and had to return home from college in Virginia. He was a star and I have a photo of us under the large ring which everyone walked through at the dances.

I too remember Kim Bassett from '59's Doolie Summer. It took some time and a viewpoint realignment to realize just how dedicated, hard-working and well-intentioned he was.
We lost touch, but I was fortunate to rediscover him in Air Force Village West about 6 years ago, and we had some nice visits there.
He was a very good man.

Kimbrough was a special man. I knew him to be a smart, energetic person with a perpetual smile on his face. You did good, Kimbrough, as they say. May you and Carol rest in peace.

I remember Kim from my Doolie summer in 1957. Thanks for being a great role model.
