1930 - May 18, 2021 Lynn Johnson, 90, of Torrance, California, passed away after a battle with cancer on May 18, 2021. The first child of Nellie and Albert Manheimer, she was born in Steubenville, Ohio in 1930. Lynn's family moved to Southern California following WWII, where she married and had a daughter and son. She spent time as a stay at home mom, later joining the workforce in the aerospace industry, and then retiring in 1985. In her autobiography, Lynn wrote, "Occasionally I consider the many decisions I have made in my long life. I was born with little fear and a lot of adventure." True to form, she led a full and unafraid life, which inspired many of the people who knew and loved her. Lynn was known among her family and friends as a terrific host and organizer of frequent gatherings. For decades it seemed that every birthday and event of note was celebrated at Lynn's home accompanied by loved ones, friends, great meals, and good times. She is survived by her son William (Melissa); four grandchildren Danielle (Kelly), Jacki (Dennis), Andrew (Stephanie), and Wesley (Nihal); four great grandchildren Devon, Jianna, Dashiell, and Ajooni; sister Carol; niece Kathy (Robert). Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by her daughter Linda, grand daughter Michelle, parents Albert and Nellie, and nephew Peter. Lynn wishes to spend eternity among her family, and her ashes will be with immediate family.
